My specialty is repairing mechanical devices. While at the Antwerp laboratory, I received training in various technical domains, which gave me the expertise to train my colleagues in anemometry and pressure calibration effectively. I greatly appreciate the collaborative work environment at Trescal. I work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds across multiple laboratories in Belgium and globally, which has been rewarding and enriching. Choosing Trescal was a deliberate decision driven by my aspiration to expand my skills in various domains within a multinational organization. I had the opportunity to oversee Malta’s calibration lab, integrated into one of our customer’s facilities, gaining valuable management experience in the process. After serving for eight years, I left the Navy but was still figuring out my career path. Given my longstanding interest in mechanics, I took up a job as a mechanic at a truck stop. However, as it turned out, mechanics was more of a hobby than a career for me. That’s when I made the decision to join Trescal in Charlotte, as a Calibration Technician II. Recently I helped implement a new automated primary pressure standard at the Charlotte laboratory which allowed the lab to provide higher accuracy calibrations and decrease turnaround time for all of our customers. I thoroughly enjoy working in a dynamic environment, where I have opportunities to acquire diverse skills and knowledge.
